Police are investigating a group of individuals who were reportedly seen robbing a home before fleeing and crashing their vehicle into a police patrol car.
Princeton police received a 911 call at 7:54 p.m. on Friday from a resident of Coniston Court, who reported hearing unknown people inside her home and requested police assistance, according to a social media post.
Officers arrived at the residence and observed several individuals exiting the home. The group immediately entered a car and fled the scene.
The fleeing vehicle then collided head-on with a Princeton Police patrol car responding on Great Road, authorities said.
The suspects exited the vehicle and escaped on foot, police reported.
The officer driving the patrol car was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities conducted a search of the area using a K-9 unit from the Hamilton Police Department and a drone from the West Windsor Police Department but were unable to locate the suspects.
No residents inside the home were injured during the incident, officials confirmed.
The investigation remains active.
