A toddler is safe after being inside a car that was stolen in West Philadelphia late Saturday morning, police said.
The incident occurred shortly before noon when a suspect stole a parked but running vehicle on the 4000 block of Lancaster Avenue. A 1-year-old child was inside the car at the time.
Responding officers located the vehicle and the child inside along the 600 block of North Brooklyn Street, less than half a mile from where the car was taken. Medics evaluated the toddler and confirmed the child was unharmed.
No arrests have been made, and police have not released information about any suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
